I loved reading this. My spiritual path has been all over the place, with the majority of it spent in Christianity of which I stepped away from a decade ago. I do not know how to follow the Celtic Advent Calender, so am thrilled at this opportunity to learn. Thank you so much.

Thank you for putting into words so beautifully my feelings about Winter. I always find it difficult to explain to my friends who wish six months of the year away, why this is such a magical time. The sleep and pause ahead of Spring’s joyful rebirth is an important time of creative contemplation for me.

Love this reminiscence of our ritualistic nature and humans. We long for the sacred in our mundane acts. For ceremony. I appreciate you sharing a glimpse into your ritual work of wreath weaving. This time of year does feel steeped in sacredness and holy days. Speaking to the pulse of the divine that is beating clear and strong as the land quiets. What a beautiful thing then to weave our part in it with such presence.

A beautiful piece, and I love the way you used AI-generated images. I have always found winter to be a time of great peace for me. I settle into the Hermit archetype, and give myself permission and space to mourn what was, clearing my heart for all the newness that is to come.

Winter is truly the season of hermits! Thanks for the AI Art mention. I’m very conflicted about AI generated art and still experimenting with it. Other AI applications terrify me. 🫣
