Hi Jan, What a beautiful tribute to the season-within-a-season of Pisces! I love the idea of waking the faeries! I did want to mention that the Sidereal Zodiac, while remaining tied to the gradual precession of the fixed stars as you mention, does actually share with the Tropical Zodiac the structure of 360 degrees evenly divided into 12 signs. The signs remain tied to the stars, unlike the tropical signs which yoke to the seasons as you mention. But sidereal signs don’t vary in size. Sidereal Pisces Season starts on March 10th this year!
Hi Bronwyn, thanks for fleshing the concepts out a bit more and clarifying the nuances. Always good to have an actual astrologer weigh in. I’m looking forward to March 10th because where I live the weather will be just a little milder and the season, and the faeries will truly awaken.
It’s mild here and the plum blossoms are swelling and the narcissus bulbs starting to break through the earth… and I heard frog song for the first time the other night, so that time of stirring is definitely upon us here! Thank you for your beautiful work and for graciously responding to my astro-nerd comment!
Jan, as always, I loved reading your email today. It is a refreshing confluence of the gifts of the season merging with the soul’s awakening. I appreciate your reference to Rudolph Steiner and his Calendar of the Soul. I’ve had that book for a long time and refer to his wonderful contemplations. My birthday is April 9th and I am supposedly an Aries according to tropical astrology but I’ve always deeply felt I don’t align with Aries descriptions. I feel I am truly a Pisces and am in my watery element during this season. I also appreciate your reminder to stay grounded so my dreamy balloon (s)don’t burst, as they do so often! I have so many! Thank you so much for the free Pisces guide! The outpouring of your many talents and gifts are so appreciated. I adore your beautiful collages as well. You are an inspiration. 🙏🦋
Hi Denise, I’m so delighted that you are part of the Hedge Mystic community and finding inspiration and benefit from reading the weekly posts. You may well have inherited more Piscean energy at your birth. This IS your season. Indulge all the swimmy, dreamy, watery atmospheres of the season but do keep your soul grounded so that all your Pisces season experiences can translate to practice knowledge and actions in the coming months.
Beautiful Pisces guide! Also, I always enjoy your art journal artwork that you share. Thanks for this lovely post.
