I appreciate the depth and richness with which you live your life and that you give this freely. It means so much. I just found out that a nun I am close to, that holds catholic mysteries close and has been very mothering to me has aggressive lung cancer. That is all I can think of with fall and winter coming. I am grateful for the things she has taught me, being an unmothered child. That is also a harvest. But, I miss her already.

Hi Janne, I am so sorry to hear this about your dear friend. Her own inner treasure of the mysteries will no doubt sustain her and I’m sure you and your prayers will also be a comfort to her. Heaven will harvest one of her dear daughters but you will lose a friend and “mother” and that is a devastating thing. Somehow in times like these we are led to the very foundation of our faith and are graced with the presence of the Blessed Mother who mothers and shelters us all. I will keep both of you in my heart and prayers.

She has come to me once. I have been so devastatingly ill for 5 years now. I had experiences of being close to dying. There was her voice and presence that seemed to say I was not done her. I thought a nun would have tons of women to walk this with her. But, she wants me. I’m more like you and Cat C. , having taken quest and Earthwise with you. I’m an old/young spirit and hope I can do this. Thank you for what you do.
