Creativity is very soul healing for me. What I need is more time spent in nature and peaceful solitude. I live in a city so I don’t get that, and I know my soul is unbalanced because of it.
Hi Daisy Ann, thanks for sharing. Urban living can make your sense of connection with nature more difficult. Noticing can become a very important way to bridge the gap. Nature is always finding ways to reappear even in hostile environments. The weed in the crack in the asphalt, birds that perch on the window ledges of skyscrapers. Vacant lots and alleyways can often be teeming ecosystems even if considered an "eyesore'. Of course getting out into natural settings always feels the best, studies have shown that listening to nature sounds and looking at pictures of natural areas or watching videos of unspoiled nature actually have a measurable and positive impact on the brain and body. Youtube is loaded with such videos. They may help ease your longing and create some balance in you.
Yes, I subscribe to a lot of YouTube channels with nature ambience and follow nature photography on social media. Unfortunately it’s not the same as being there in person 😔
