Women of a certain age, or any age, carry Crone energy within them.
The Crone is the necessary counterpart to the Maiden. One rules winter, the other spring. One thrives in the dark; one brings the light.
We see aspects of the Crone in Hecate, Baba Yaga, the Cailleach, and the Bruja. In nature, she’s the witch of winter, the hag of hail and frost.
She holds the key to unlocking the feminine mysteries, and this is her season.
